In early '90s, the Battaglione San Marco adopted a new camouflage pattern, commonly called ginestra, which stayed in service until the early 2010s before being replaced by vegetato. Various slightly different colorways exist depending on manufacturer and production year. Collectors often describe these as Somali or Mediterranean versions, though it is unclear if they were intentional variations or simply production differences.
This specific item features the well-known lion patch on the left chest pocket, and another removable ITALIA San Marco Battaglione patch that I've never seen before, it's a great find! It says "Per mare, per terra" and also shows St. Mark's lion figure.
Condition: Near perfect, I don't see any particular damage on it.
