This jacket has 2 big front pockets, 2 inner zippered pockets, a hood that can be tucked into the collar and zipped up, 2 shoulder pockets. The front has both buttons and a zipper. I haven't tested it outside, but I don't think it's totally waterproof like Goretex items, it's more of a water repellent material that would probably help in windy weather too.
