Produced for Bundeswehr (German Armed Forces) from the mid-1960s, this jacket is a great of example of Schneetarn -snow camouflage- that is very effective in the mountains.
I was lucky to get a whole set including jacket, overpants and 2 sturdy, metal canteens. Bear in mind that this jacket and pants are supposed to be worn over warm and thick layers, so the fabric is thin and items are oversized. I'll leave the correct measurements below. The pants come with suspenders.
Size:
XL-short: Jacket: pit to pit 70 cm, collar to hem 80 cm and sleeve 60cm. Pants: waist 114cm (can be tightened via straps), inseam 74cm, outer leg 98cm.
Condition: The shirt and pants were used and have quite some stains (greyish around sleeves and partially in front) but I don't see any holes or real damage. I assume this can be cleaned/washed, but I haven't tried it - selling it as I received it.
The canteens were used and you can see they are old items, but seem to be in very good shape. Haven't tried filling them with liquids.
* As the parcel for this set will be heavier and more expensive, I lowered the price to make up for it a bit. Original set price would be 90 EUR.
